Safety Tips

Meeting new people is very important, but you should always be careful when interacting with strangers, especially in business interactions. Use common sense and prioritize your safety, both when exchanging initial messages and meeting in person. While you cannot control the actions of others, there are things you can do to help you stay safe in your Connectholics experience.

  • Never send money or financial information

Never send money, especially by wire transfer, even if the person claims to be in an emergency. Wire transfer is like sending cash: it is virtually impossible to reverse the transaction or track the money. Never share information that could be used to access your financial accounts. If another user asks for money, please let us know immediately.

  • Protect your personal and business information

Never share personal information, such as ID numbers, home or business address, or details about your daily routine (for example, what days you go to the gym) with strangers. If you have children, limit the information you share about them. Avoid giving details such as your children's names, what school they attend, or their ages and genders. Also, do not share important information about your business that is not public.

  • stay on the platform

Keep conversations going on the Connectholics platform while you're meeting someone. Malicious users often try to immediately migrate conversations to text messages, messaging apps, email, or phone.

  • Report all suspicious and offensive behavior

You know when someone has crossed the line, and when that happens, we want to know. Block and report anyone who violates our terms. Here are some examples of violations:

  • Requests for money or donations

  • underage users

  • Disruption, threats and offensive messages

  • Improper or harmful behavior during or after meeting in person

  • fake profiles

  • Spam or offers, including links to commercial websites or attempts to sell products or services

You can report suspicious behavior on any profile page or message window here. For more information, check out our Community Rules.

  • protect your account

Choose a strong password and always use caution when logging into your account from a public or shared computer. Connectholics will never send you an email asking for your username and password. If you receive an email asking for account information, please report it immediately.
