We understand that you entrust us with your information and it is our goal to maintain that trust at all times. This process begins with an explanation of the information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your choices regarding your information. This Policy describes privacy practices in plain language, keeping technical and legal terminology to a minimum.

This Privacy Policy takes effect on November 22, 2021.

1. Who we are

Our business is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell products and services to our customers. Your information may be stored in the Wix.com database. Wix.com stores your information on secure servers behind a firewall. 
Wix.com complies with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) rules and is recognized as a Tier 1 vendor.

PCI DSS is an information security standard for organizations or businesses that accept credit card payments. This standard helps create a secure environment, improving the quality of cardholder data and reducing credit card fraud. 

 

2. Application of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to websites, applications, events and other services operated by Connectholics. For the sake of simplicity, we refer to them all as "services" in this Privacy Policy.

Some services may require their own privacy policy. If a specific service has its own privacy policy, then that policy will apply.

3. Information We Collect

In order for us to be able to help you strengthen connections, we need some personal information, such as basic, psychological and motivational profile data, as well as technical characteristics of people you would like to connect with. We also collect information generated through your use of our services, for example access logs, as well as information from third parties, for example when you access our services using a social media account. If you want more information, we will go into more detail below.

 

Information you provide to us

You choose to provide us with certain information when using our services. This includes:

  • When creating an account, you provide us with at least your login details, as well as some basic details necessary for the service to function, such as contact information.

  • By completing your profile, you may share additional information with us, such as data about your preferences, lifestyle, interests and other data about you, as well as content such as photographs and videos. To add certain content, for example images or videos, you can allow access to your camera or photo album. By choosing to provide us with this information, you consent to our processing of it.

  • When you subscribe to a paid service or make a purchase directly with us (instead of using a platform such as iOS or Android), you provide us or our payment service provider with information such as your debit or credit card number. credit or other financial information.

Information collected when using our services

When you use our services, we collect information about what features you used, how you used them and the devices you used to access our services. See the following information for more details:

  • Usage information We collect information about your activity on our services, for example when you use them (date and time you logged in, features you used, searches, clicks and pages you were presented with, address of referring web pages , ads you click on) and how you interact with other users (e.g. users you connect and interact with, time and date of interactions, number of messages you send and receive).

  • Device Information We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access our services, including:

    • hardware and software information such as IP address, device identity and type, application and device-specific settings and characteristics, application errors, advertising ID (such as Google AAID and Apple IDFA, both of which are randomly generated numbers that can be reset in your device settings), browser type, version and language, operating system, time zones, identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser (e.g. IMEI/ UDID and MAC address);

    • information about your wireless or mobile network connection, such as service provider and signal strength;

    • information about the device's sensors, such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and compasses.

  • Other Information With Your Authorization If you authorize us, we may collect your exact geolocation (latitude and longitude) in a variety of ways, depending on the service and device you use, including GPS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connections. The collection of your geolocation may take place in the background even when you are not using the services if the authorization you give us expressly permits such collection. If you refuse to authorize the collection of your geolocation, we will not collect this data. Likewise, if you authorize us, we may collect your photographs and videos (for example, if you post a photo, video or stream on our services).

 

4. Cookies and other similar data collection technologies

We use and may allow others to use cookies and similar technologies (eg web beacons, pixels) to recognize you and/or your device(s). Not all browsers provide a DNT option and DNT signals are still not uniform. For this reason, many companies, including Connectholics, do not currently respond to DNT signals.

For your protection and the protection of all our users, we may ask for proof of identity before we can respond to previous requests.

Remember that we may reject requests for certain reasons, including if the request is illegal or violates another user's trade secrets or intellectual property or privacy. If you would like to receive information regarding another user, such as a copy of any messages you have received from that user, the user in question will need to contact us and provide written consent before the information can be disclosed.

In addition, we may not be able to accommodate certain requests to object to the processing of personal information, especially in cases where those requests do not allow us to continue providing our service to you. For example, we cannot provide our service if we do not have your contact.

  • Uninstall. You can stop all information gathering through an app by uninstalling it using your device's uninstall process. If you uninstall the app from your mobile device, the mobile identifier associated with your device will continue to be stored. If you re-install the app on the same mobile device, we may re-associate this identifier with your previous transactions and activities.

 

8. How we protect your information

We work hard to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or alteration, disclosure or destruction. As with all technology companies, while we take steps to protect your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information will always be kept secure.

We regularly monitor our systems for potential vulnerabilities and attacks and regularly review our information collection, storage and processing practices to update our physical, technical and organizational security measures.

We may suspend your use of the Services in whole or in part without notice if we suspect or detect any breach of security. If you believe your account or information is no longer secure, please notify us immediately here.

 

9. How long do we retain your information?

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes (as defined in Section 5) and as permitted by applicable law. To protect the safety of our users on and off our services, we have implemented a three-month security retention window after account deletion. During this period, account information will be retained even though the account is no longer visible on the services.

In practice, we delete or anonymize your information after your account has been deleted (after the security retention window) or after two years of continuous inactivity, unless:

  1. we must comply with applicable law (for example, some "traffic data" is retained for one year to comply with regulatory data retention obligations);

  2. we have to retain them to evidence our compliance with applicable law (eg, records of your consents to our Terms, Privacy Policy and other similar consents are kept for five years);

  3. there is an outstanding issue, complaint or dispute that requires us to withhold relevant information until it is resolved; or

  4. the information must be retained for our legitimate business interests, such as preventing fraud and improving user safety and security. For example, you may need to retain information to prevent a user who has been banned for unsafe behavior or security incidents from opening a new account.

Please keep in mind that although our systems are designed to perform data erasure processes in accordance with the above guidelines, we cannot promise that all data will be erased within a specific period due to technical limitations.

 

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are limited to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not allow users under the age of 18 to use our platform, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people under the age of 18. If you suspect that a user is under the age of 18, please use the communication mechanism available on the service.
