Security policy

Our compromise

 

We take the safety, security and well-being of our users very seriously. We pride ourselves on connecting people so they can find the best matches for professional partnerships and partnerships. While we have no control over members' actions and intentions, we firmly believe that any and all incidents of misconduct or criminal behavior must be avoided.

 

We are continually exploring new updates, partnerships and technologies to improve and inform our security efforts, promoting a respectful environment to meet new people. Information about our security tools and practices can be found below. Whether in São Paulo, Bahia or Maranhão, our goal remains the same: to provide a safe and positive experience for users on our platform.

 

Our security tools

We utilize a network of automated, manual and state-of-the-art moderation and analysis tools, systems and processes. We also invest a lot of resources to prevent, monitor and remove inappropriate behavior (impersonation, harassment, prejudice and others) from our platform.

​

These tools include automatic profile scans to find potentially problematic language and images; manual analysis of suspicious activity and profiles and user-generated reports; deletion of suspicious accounts; as well as blocking email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and other identifiers associated with malefactors.

​

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment of any kind, and we encourage our community to report any instances of misconduct and/or anyone who violates our Community Rules or our Terms of use, via the whistleblower tool featured in all Connectholics profiles or contacting our team. When we receive a report, our dedicated community team takes appropriate action, which may include removing the content, banning the user, or notifying the appropriate authorities.

We are always evaluating and refining our processes, and we will always work with law enforcement when possible to protect our users.

Responding to allegations of aggression

​

Connectholics users can easily report abuse or assault on the platform or events. We strongly encourage all users who suspect they have been victims of crime to report it to the police. Our team works to promptly investigate reported crimes, assess and take appropriate action, and fully cooperate with law enforcement in any investigation.

​

When a user reports misconduct to Connectholics, we attempt to identify the perpetrator and block the associated account. The incident is then reported to the centralized security database, leaving the user unable to use our services until the investigation is completed.

Fraud

​

We take fraud very seriously at Connectholics. We have a zero-tolerance policy for predatory behavior of any kind. We have a dedicated anti-fraud team that uses a network of industry-leading technologies and looks for fraud and analyzes each member profile for potentially problematic language, and performs manual analysis of profiles and suspicious activity and user-generated reports. No one, whether or not they have known each other at Connectholics, should send money to someone they have not met in person.   In addition, we encourage our members to report all individuals who have requested financial information through our reporting tool.  These two steps will go a long way towards stopping almost all scams and will help protect the next potential victim.

 

Data privacy and platform security

The privacy of our users is a priority at Connectholics, and we work hard to go far beyond applicable privacy laws and industry standards. We know that what you do on the app is private, and we have strict technical systems and policies, including encryption for users' photos and messages, and tools that restrict employee access to user communications and other data. As for Connectholics user data, our mission is to keep users safe and their data confidential.

Unlike other platforms, our business model is focused on providing users with premium features, including enhancements and annual subscriptions, to enhance their user experience. We do not sell data to third parties or rely on advertising to maintain or expand our business. Therefore, users can request a copy of their data at any time. The most up-to-date information on our data practices is always publicly available at our Privacy Policy.

In addition, we are always improving our defenses in the battle against bad guys.   However, we do not discuss any specific tools we use or improvements we may implement in order to better protect our users and avoid alerting potential infringers.

And while this is a lot of fun, it's important to remember that there is Community Rules to be followed by our users to help make Connectholics the best platform for personal development and referral of new partners or business partners.

We encourage our users to report any misbehavior on or off our platform. Reporting a user for misconduct is simple and easy to do. You can report another user by emailing contato@connectholics.com.

Harassment

​

We have a zero-tolerance policy on harassment on our platform. We encourage all users to report unacceptable behavior so the community team can investigate and take appropriate action.

Use by minors

​

Connectholics is for users 18+ only, and we strive to maintain an adults-only community. We utilize a network of state-of-the-art, manual, automated moderation and review tools, systems, and processes, and invest a lot of resources to deflect and remove minors from our platform.

​

These tools include automatic profile scans to find potentially problematic language and images, manual analysis of profiles and suspicious activity and user-generated reports, and blocking of email addresses, phone numbers and other identifiers associated with minors who try to circumvent restrictions. We also need our users to report profiles that may portray a minor so that we can investigate and remove them if necessary.

Sale

​

Any type of buy or sell order goes against our Terms of use. If a user finds a profile that violates our terms, we encourage them to report it through the tool found on all Connectholics profiles or online.  These reports allow our dedicated community team to take appropriate action, which may include removing the user's profile or banning.

​

illegal substances

​

Profiles (or Connectholics users) promoting illegal substances violate our Terms of use, and we have a system in place to remove these profiles from the application. If a user finds a profile that violates our terms, we encourage them to report it on the platform.
